Is CardCraft really free?
The editor is free to use and self-host. The platform is source-available and free for individuals and small companies. Managed AI and storage are optional paid conveniences, not a wall in front of the product.
Is it open source?
The editor is fully open. The wider platform is source-available: you can read it, run it, and self-host it. We are upfront that it is not OSI open source end to end.
What can one project hold?
Design pages, infinite-canvas scenes, slide decks, videos, and boards, hundreds of parts in a single working file. You switch between them without moving files or changing tools.
Do I have to use your AI?
No. Bring your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Qwen, fal, and more, and your key is never billed by us. A managed tier exists only if you would rather not manage keys yourself.
Can it post to social media for me?
The automation engine and per-brand OAuth for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok are built and entering alpha. We are finishing each platform's app approval before we call it live.
Is it ready to use today?
We are pre-launch, opening to a public alpha in 2026. The core is real and we build with it every day, but this is the working product, not a finished release.
